Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you have a few hours a week to spare and a desire to bring joy and comfort to others? Gracewell is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our team and enrich the lives of our residents. Volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by offering companionship, engaging activities, and a friendly face.

What Kinds of Opportunities Are Available?
We have a variety of volunteer roles to suit different interests and schedules. Some common ways volunteers support our residents include:
- Companionship: Ride along with residents to/from appointments or simply spending time engaging in conversation, playing cards or board games.
- Activity Assistance: Helping staff with group activities like manicures, teaching new technology, or craft projects.
- Entertainment: Sharing musical talents or performing for residents.
- Reading & Correspondence: Reading books, newspapers, or letters to residents, or helping them write letters.
- Front Door Assistant: Answering front door and greeting visitors.
Any other ideas that you may be interested in are welcome. It can even be one time projects if a routine commitment is not suitable for you!
Who Are We Looking For?
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life! We are looking for individuals who are:
- Compassionate and empathetic: Able to connect with residents and understand their needs.
- Reliable and committed: Able to consistently dedicate their time as agreed upon.
- Patient and understanding: Comfortable interacting with individuals who may have varying cognitive or physical abilities.
- Positive and enthusiastic: Bringing a cheerful attitude to their interactions.
- Respectful of privacy and confidentiality: Adhering to all facility policies and resident rights.
