Eventide Foundation Scholarship Awarded to Andrea Flores

Eventide Foundation is pleased to announce that Andrea Flores has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Eventide Foundation Scholarship. A recent graduate of Denison High School, Andrea was chosen for her academic achievements, leadership, strong character, and commitment to serving older adults.

Established to support Crawford County students pursuing careers in healthcare, the Eventide Foundation Scholarship encourages the next generation of compassionate professionals who are dedicated to improving the lives of others, particularly within the field of aging services.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Andrea has been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Gracewell since the fall of 2025, where she has gained valuable hands-on experience caring for older adults. “I love helping my residents regain their mobility and confidence, knowing I’m making a difference in their lives,” says Andrea. This fall, she will attend Iowa State University to pursue a degree in Kinesiology and Health, with a goal of becoming a Physical Therapist. Her passion for helping others, combined with her interest in healthcare, further reflects the values and mission of the Eventide Foundation.

To ensure a thorough selection process, scholarship applicants were evaluated based on academic performance, leadership, character, community involvement, and their interest in healthcare careers. Ultimately, Andrea distinguished herself through her well-rounded accomplishments and genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

The Eventide Foundation extends its congratulations to Andrea on this well-deserved recognition. As she begins her college journey, we wish her continued success and look forward to seeing the difference she will make in the healthcare field in the years ahead.
