We have an Eventide Nursing Facility employee who as tested positive for COVID-19. With new CMS guidelines effective September 2nd, all staff and residents in the nursing facility will be tested. Everyone that tested negative is to be retested every 3 to 7 days until testing identifies no new cases of COVID-19 infection occurs, for a period of at least 14 days since the most positive result. Please note all staff are tested twice a week and that will remain as long as Crawford County’s positivity rate is above 10%. The positivity rate used by nursing facilities can be found at COVID-19 Testing on the CMS.gov website; it is not the same resource used for the school systems.

Please know that we are taking all actions we can to prevent the risk of further transmission of COVID-19. We are screening staff before and after their shift, creating isolation areas, wearing PPE, all staff wearing masks when in the facility, on-going education, cleaning and disinfecting frequently, limiting visitation, utilizing telehealth, etc.
