New CMS guidance was released last night regarding nursing facility visitation. Our team will be reviewing the federal guidance but the state guidance has not changed. We expect state guidance changes to follow. We will keep everyone posted as we work through this process.
To those in Crawford County, this is our heartfelt plea to please follow IDPH guidance as it relates to COVID-19. A number of community exposures are occurring due to those who do not social distance or use a mask around others; stay home if someone in your household is positive. Politics and views aside, this is affecting everyone in long term care and having a negative impact. Please do your part and encourage others to do the same. Not only for long term care, but for our small businesses, our students, our community. When we say ‘we are in this together’ we truly mean it.

Please know that we are taking all actions we can to prevent the risk of further transmission of COVID-19. We are screening staff before and after their shift, creating isolation areas, wearing PPE, all staff wearing masks when in the facility, on-going education, cleaning and disinfecting frequently, limiting visitation, utilizing telehealth, etc.
If you have any general questions, please contact CEO Mindi Baker at 712.263.3114. You may continue to contact the resident’s nurse for specific resident conditions.
