COVID-19 Notification 10.23.20

We are pleased to announce COVID-19 surveillance testing went very well again this week. We currently have no active cases on campus. Please continue to pray for all residents, tenants, staff, and families during this unprecedented time.

The Eventide Campus is prepared for indoor visits with extra safety measures in place, but we need the county positivity rate to drop to at least 10%. Our guidelines prohibit indoor visits at Eventide Nursing Facility and Silveridge Assisted Living until this rate drops. Please be responsible, wear your mask and social distance. Per new CDC guidance, a close contact exposed is someone who has spent a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more, in a 24 hour period within 6 feet of an infected person.

We are currently working on agreements to provide COVID-19 vaccines to those in long term care facilities. Yesterday the first antiviral drug called Veklury (remdesivir) was approved by the FDA for the treatment of COVID-19. The drug is only to be used in hospitals and acute healthcare settings at this time. Certainly a step in the right direction!

If you have any general questions, please contact CEO Mindi Baker at 712.263.3114. You may continue to contact the resident’s nurse for specific resident conditions.
