Eventide Nursing Facility was notified yesterday that one team member has tested positive with COVID-19. The team member has not worked in the facility for over 30 days and no one has been exposed at the facility. Consistent with IDPH guidelines, the team member is in self-isolation at home, and will not return to work until they have completed the recommended isolation in accordance with public health guidance.
With this, the nursing facility has regressed back to Phase 1 effective 08/30/20. Outdoor visits will continue with safety measures in place. Non-essential healthcare personnel are restricted entry in the nursing facility (including beautician) while in Phase 1.
In addition, CMS has issued new guidance for nursing facilities regarding testing residents and team members in their facilities for COVID-19 effective September 2, 2020. The testing triggers are as follows:
- Any symptomatic individual
- Any new positive case in the facility – facility wide testing
- Routine team member testing – based on county activity rate
- <5% test once a month
- 5%-10% test once a week
- >10% test twice a week
We appreciate your help in containing this virus by doing your part as well. Positive cases in Crawford County are currently up to 835 with a 16.2% positivity rate. Please use appropriate infection control practices: Wash your hands Cover your cough and sneezes Wear a facemask as directed Maintain an appropriate social distance If you are ill, stay home.
As always, thank you for understanding the importance of taking safety measures during this unprecedented time and situation.
*Note: Silveridge Assisted Living remains at Phase 3.
