Eventide became a reality after many members of area Lutheran congregations joined in a commitment with local business individuals and volunteered their efforts to create a place to care for elders in this community. The first resident was admitted on April 1, 1963. Today, we have grown to add services, programs, and facilities to better assist individuals in this community. We house 62 independent living units, 36 assisted living units, and a 100-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Eventide is governed by a local Board of Directors comprised of delegates from the area Lutheran Churches and the local Chamber and Development Council. Being a non-profit organization, the bottom line is not about profits…it’s about exceeding the expectations of our residents, families, and employees.
We strive to be the Health Care Provider of Choice and the Employer of Choice by understanding and meeting the special needs of our Residents, Families, and Employees.
To provide services in a way that includes family involvement, promoting and maximizing the independence and dignity of every Resident.
To be a leader and a resource in the region for comprehensive aging services.
Eventide is a non-profit charitable organization and is a tax exempt entity under section 501(c)(3). As a Not-for-profit organization, we manage the finances in accordance with our missions. We are not driven by daily pressure to increase our "bottom line" for our owners, investors, or share holders.
Quality, not earnings, is the barometer of a not-for-profit organization's efforts. All proceeds in a not-for-profit are reinvested in improving the physical environment, serving more people, offering more and better accomodations and services, and ultimately fulfilling the organization's mission.
Eventide and its Affiliates do not and will not discriminate against any person on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, creed, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other basis regarding the admission, retention, treatment, and terms and conditions of residing at Eventide as long as the services needed can be properly provided by the organization. Eventide and its programs and activities are accessible to and usable by disabled persons, including persons with impaired hearing and vision in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
We believe in the power and importance of relationships among our residents, their families, staff, and the community. We would not be anywhere without the relationships with so many people and organizations that have contributed to who we are today.
"Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent." Psalm 71:9 (RSV)
